On March 7, Vinh Long Department of Industry and Trade said that the gasoline and LPG market in the area still maintains stability, and supply from key enterprises ensures meeting the needs of people and businesses.
Currently, the whole province has more than 1,000 gasoline and oil retail stores and 88 distribution traders, including 1 key trader and 6 distribution traders headquartered in the province.
The province's gasoline and oil storage system includes 9 warehouses with a total capacity of about 27,300 m3, ensuring storage and supply capacity for production, business and consumption.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade, state-owned enterprises still play a leading role in the gasoline and oil distribution system, accounting for more than 45% of the retail market share in the province.
Through inspection and supervision until March 7, it was recorded that some stores temporarily suspended operations due to repairing and cleaning gasoline tanks, low business efficiency or completing administrative procedures.
Functional sectors also discovered a case of arbitrarily stopping business due to financial difficulties and have directed the Market Management force to inspect and handle according to regulations.
Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan - Director of Vinh Long Department of Industry and Trade said that up to now, the gasoline and oil market in the area is still stable, and no shortage of goods has been recorded.
The Department of Industry and Trade has requested gasoline and oil businesses to sign commitments to ensure supply, not hoard goods, not unreasonably increase prices and implement a daily rapid reporting regime.
In the coming time, the Market Management force will continue to coordinate with functional agencies to strengthen inspection and supervision of gasoline and oil business activities to ensure consumer rights and market stability.
