Metric.vn has just announced notable figures on the Vietnamese e-commerce (e-commerce) market in the first 6 months of the year. Data is compiled on 4 major exchanges: Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop and Tiki.
Data shows that from January 1 to June 30, 2026, revenue on these 4 e-commerce platforms reached 291.6 trillion VND, an increase of more than 44.1% compared to the same period last year. The number of products sold and the number of operating shops both increased compared to the first 6 months of last year.
From June to June 2026 alone, sales on these 4 e-commerce platforms reached 143 trillion VND, an increase of 41.62% compared to the same period last year. The number of products sold is 1.048 million products with more than 525.6 thousand shops operating.
According to experts from the Metric. vn data aggregation and exploitation platform, in the third quarter of 2026, sales on 4 major e-commerce platforms in Vietnam are forecast to reach 146.3 trillion VND, an increase of 2.31% compared to the second quarter of this year. The number of products sold is expected to reach 1.084 million, an increase compared to the previous 3 months.
Regarding consumer trends, analysis shows that products related to summer travel season, school starts, National Day holidays and seasonal weather will be sought after from suitcases, travel backpacks, travel bags, sunscreen, backpacks, stationery, school supplies, raincoats, waterproof shoes, drying equipment, dehumidifiers and home care...
Experts also give recommendations to sellers. Accordingly, in research and development strategies, they need to prioritize products according to actual needs, optimize product quality and information, adjust the portfolio seasonally, and apply data to sales.
With investment and business, sellers need to identify priority lists, allocate resources to products with stable sales. They also need to develop appropriate sales channels, control efficiency according to each product, before making appropriate marketing plans.
