Pumping at the correct pressure
This is the most important factor to maintain tire durability. When tires are inexperienced, the area of contact with the road surface increases, friction and heat generated are greater, causing tires to wear out quickly, especially on both sides of the edges.
Conversely, tires that are too tight cause the middle of the surface to come into more contact, leading to rapid wear at the center of the tire and may reduce road grip.
According to Xe Cung Motor, on some motorcycle models, tire pressure can be referenced at about 2.2 kg/cm2 in the front wheel and 2.4 kg/cm2 in the rear wheel. However, users need to prioritize the pressure parameters specified by the manufacturer for each model.
Limit overloading
Frequent heavy loading causes tires to bear heavy loads and generate more heat during operation. This prolonged situation can cause rubber to degrade quickly, tires to deform and reduce lifespan.
In particular, motorbikes that regularly carry many people or carry heavy goods need to have tires checked periodically to detect abnormal signs.
Change driving habits
Sudden braking, sudden acceleration, wheel swerve or sidewalk climbing at high speed all create great friction and impact on the tires. These habits not only cause tire surfaces to wear quickly, but can also affect the rims, suspension system and other parts of the car.
Limit parking under sunlight
Ultraviolet rays and high temperatures are factors promoting the aging process of rubber. Cars that are frequently exposed outdoors may experience dry and hard tire surfaces, and cracked legs.
Therefore, users should prioritize places with roofs and regularly check tires. A tire with a fairly beautiful surface but aging rubber, with many cracks, can still affect safety, especially when the car is running at high speed.
