Nha Trang Ward has established Nha Trang Kindergarten, Nha Trang Primary School and Nha Trang Secondary School on the basis of merging 13 kindergartens, primary schools and 7 secondary schools in the area.
After arrangement, Nha Trang Kindergarten has 2,795 children; Nha Trang Elementary School has 10,565 students and Nha Trang Secondary School has 8,759 students.
Despite the large scale, according to the principals, the operation of the new schools has not been much disrupted.
Instead, schools focus on building appropriate management plans, putting students at the center and exploiting common resources to improve the quality of education.
Coordinating resources, putting students at the center
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Viet Ha - Principal of Nha Trang Kindergarten, previously kindergartens in the ward organized their own kitchen models.

After arranging, the school established a School Council to proactively develop a plan to provide a common kitchen for the entire new school.
The school widely informs parents about the selection of units to supply and transport meals for children at 13 branches. Daily menus are also publicly available for parents to monitor and supervise.
This organization helps the school unify the provision of meals, while increasing publicity in childcare activities at branches.
At the primary level, the coordination of the teaching staff also brings clear changes.

Ms. Chau Dinh Mai Phuong - Principal of Nha Trang Primary School said that according to previous regulations, first and second grade students who wanted to learn English and informatics had to pay money due to teacher shortages.
Meanwhile, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students study these subjects according to the general education program.
After arranging, the school proactively transferred teachers from surplus to shortage. Thanks to that, 1st and 2nd grade students have learned English and computer science for free.
Building a unified school from many branches
At Nha Trang Secondary School, the operation of the new model is implemented in the direction of building a common management mechanism but still ensuring the ability to handle work at each branch.
Ms. Phan Thi Thao Uyen - Principal of Nha Trang Secondary School said that immediately after completing the arrangement, 7 vice principals at the branches quickly met to jointly develop a unified teaching plan in the new school year.

The school also built a common regulation, assigning tasks to each member; and at the same time established a common professional group to assign work. At each branch, there will be a professional group to handle direct work at the grassroots level.
Along with personnel, the issue of investment in facilities is also placed in the overall context.
After arrangement, equipment and technical facilities at 7 branches will be invested synchronously and effectively by higher-level agencies. Thereby, avoiding the situation where central schools always receive priorities in education but schools far from the central area lack investment.
According to a representative of Nha Trang Ward People's Committee, so far the locality has not received feedback from parents and students related to the organization of activities of the public education model after arrangement.
Nha Trang ward said it is ready to be receptive and listen to the opinions of public opinion, parents and students in the process of operating the new model, with the goal of ensuring that children and students enjoy the best quality of education.
