People have reported that currently, the amount of driver's test records in Da Nang City is too large, while the exam organization progress is still slow, the number of exams is limited, the passing rate is not high, leading to the risk of extending the backlog of records until the end of 2025.
This affects people who need to take the exam and issue a new driver's license, affecting their rights, work and life.
People recommend that the People's Committee of Da Nang City pay attention and give close instructions to promptly resolve the backlog to avoid prolonged impact.
Responding to this content, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Da Nang City Police said that through review, as of July 14, 2025, the whole city had 40,643 dossiers that had completed the training program, of which 11,707 dossiers ensured the conditions for organizing the test.
With the determination to promptly resolve the needs of the people, not to form a long-standing file and to implement the direction of the Traffic Police Department, the Traffic Police Department has advised the Director of the City Police to organize 32 surveys to resolve the needs for these 11,707 files (equivalent to 28.8% of the total number of files that have completed the training program).
At the same time, 17 training institutions in the area were urged to urgently notify students who wanted to take the test to proactively register and complete their documents.
Based on the registration of the training facility's assessment and actual needs, the Traffic Police Department has been organizing 59 assessments in August 2025 to handle 20,933 records (equivalent to 51.5% of the total number of records that have completed the training program).
It is expected that by early September 2025, all remaining documents will be completely resolved.

According to the Traffic Police Department, the testing work is considered "deadly" due to the following reasons:
Continuous testing leads to overloaded testing grounds, giving students time to review and practice getting used to the equipment, affecting the testing results of students.
Although there is a need to take the test early, students do not proactively review, do not pay the test fee, and refuse to take the test because the test schedule is not in accordance with personal wishes... leading to a low rate of test results.
The capacity to process testing requests for testing of many training institutions is still limited, not proactively notifying students to contact to complete the application, the actual number of applications is much lower than the initial testing registration number.
Currently, the Traffic Police Department has proactively implemented many working solutions, including the contents recommended by the people.
In the coming time, the Traffic Police Department will continue to focus all resources on the survey work to quickly resolve the number of backlogged records, gradually bringing the survey work into order and stability.
At the same time, proactively advise the City Police Director and the Traffic Police Department on proposed and recommended contents related to the conduct of the test to successfully complete assigned tasks, ensuring the legitimate rights of the people.
