How to choose the right one when receiving information

Kiều Vũ |

Many people still think that workers only browse the web and watch TikTok, but few read newspapers. But no, there are workers who still read newspapers every day to receive information and learn about aspects of life.

Still choosing official newspapers

Ms. Quach Ngoc Nham, a worker working in Thach That Industrial Park, is the character in the article about the lack of playgrounds for the children of workers in our industrial parks. Although busy with company and housework, Ms. Nham still reads the newspaper. Due to lack of time, she can only read newspapers online, on the phone, when her child is asleep.

Ms. Nham often reads new policies related to workers from other provinces like her. In addition, she also read about Japan's electronics manufacturing policies because her company has investment capital from this country. Ms. Nham shared with us that the information is very necessary for her to be proactive in situations at work and in life.

When the whole country is streamlining the apparatus, Mr. Nguyen Le Ninh, a worker at Thang Long Industrial Park, every day goes to the newspapers to see if information about Ninh Binh, his hometown, changes its boundaries or not?

Mr. Ninh said that with such information, he always reads in official newspapers, not on social networking sites because only newspapers report accurate information. Not only caring about the boundaries, Mr. Ninh is also very interested in the arrangement and streamlining of the Trade Union organization.

According to Mr. Ninh, in recent years, trade union activities have undergone many innovations. Mr. Ninh gave an example of a free health check-up for industrial park workers held at a business. This method helps workers not have to travel far... Mr. Ninh also said that information about the Trade Union organization and policies for workers should be read in official newspapers or Fanpages of Trade Union levels to ensure content standards.

Discussing the current way workers access information, Mr. Phan Thanh Hai - Chairman of the Trade Union of Meiko Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. analyzed: Not only do workers read social networks, but many of them have made the right choice when receiving information. With current information, workers will read it on newspapers. With the information that is of public interest, they read both social networks and mainstream newspapers to grasp the accuracy of the incident....

As for Trade Union officials, especially grassroots Trade Union officials, they are currently very interested in innovating the Trade Union organization and implementing the 13th Charter. Because these contents are closely related to the implementation and organization of Trade Union activities. Therefore, we hope that newspapers in the Trade Union system such as Lao Dong Newspaper will continue to have many concise and specific articles on this content" - Mr. Hai said.

Extensive propaganda on innovation of the Trade Union organization and implementation of the 13th Charter

Evaluating Lao Dong Newspaper, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Xuan Hung affirmed: I always highly appreciate the role of Lao Dong Newspaper in propaganda work, promptly, accurately and deeply reflecting the activities of the Trade Union organization. The reporter team constantly updates knowledge, closely reflects the reality of the workers' movement and trade union activities.

In the current context, when the Trade Union organization is implementing the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus, the urgent requirement is comprehensive innovation to operate more effectively, closer to workers, closer to production practice. Lao Dong Newspaper needs to continue to promote its role as a strategic communication channel, clearly reflecting the process of innovation, selecting and spreading typical examples in performing trade union tasks.

The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor emphasized: A very important focus at present is the implementation of the 13th Vietnam Trade Union Charter. In the process of preparing for the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Presidium of the General Confederation of Labor directed the summary of the implementation of the 12th Conference of the Charter, prepared an assessment report and proposed the content of the amendment. The draft XIII Charter was discussed in many rounds: Received more than 1 million comments, 5 thematic conferences of the Presidium Standing Committee, 8 sessions of the Presidium and 5 sessions of the Executive Committee of the General Confederation.

The new Charter consists of 11 chapters and 45 articles - an increase of 10 articles compared to the previous term - reflecting innovative thinking, innovative organization and innovative union methods.

Therefore, Vice Chairman Nguyen Xuan Hung suggested that Lao Dong Newspaper organize extensive propaganda series on the content of the new Charter, helping each union cadre, especially the team of key cadres at all levels, clearly identify this as a key political task, demonstrating the determination to concretize the spirit of innovation of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

It is necessary to thoroughly grasp that the Charter is the highest legal basis within the Trade Union organization, the foundation for discipline and order in the entire system. The serious implementation and compliance with the Charter is to contribute to improving the effectiveness of Trade Union operations in the new situation.
