Not only leaning against the mountain like many other ancient temples, this place is a unique intersection between creation and spirituality, where majestic mountain rocks and beliefs merge into one to open up a space completely separate from the noisy city. Seen from afar, the mountains skillfully hide a quiet Zen realm, challenging the constant movement of urbanization out there.

The historical mark of the pagoda has existed for nearly a millennium, originating from the 11th century under the Ly Dynasty. Legend has it that after King Ly Thanh Tong's peaceful dream, Empress Dowager Y Lan personally came to survey this picturesque land and built a pagoda to worship Buddha.

Through many ups and downs of time, Kim Son Temple still maintains its position as the largest Buddhist center of Viet Bac land and was officially ranked as a National Historical - Cultural and Scenic Relic in 1999. Each mark on the cliff or ancient characters engraved along the walkway are stone witnesses, silently recounting the stories of many generations of people who have persistently preserved the spiritual source for centuries.

Passing through the three-entrance gate, the modern rhythm of life seems to recede behind, giving way to gray cliffs covered in time and the sound of bells echoing in the mountain walls. In the deep cave, natural light creeps through the rock crevices creating magical patches of light and darkness, shining on the many-year-old stalactites silently standing next to the ancient Buddha statues.

The combination of the rough and rustic features of the cave walls with the tranquility of the statue faces creates a highly aesthetic contrast. For visual art lovers, every small corner here is a work of art. A thin wisp of incense smoke lingering in the gray stone background, a late afternoon sunlight piercing through the ancient cave arch or the peaceful appearance of a traveler standing still.

The durability of mountain rocks and the melancholy of space have created a rare peaceful touch point, where people can let go of all worries, reflect themselves in the flow of time and listen to the deepest sounds from their souls.
