On the afternoon of June 29, leaders of Yen Binh Commune People's Committee said that the locality is issuing a notice to find the parents or relatives of a baby boy who was abandoned in front of Hoang Lien Pagoda in the early morning of the same day.
According to initial information, at about 3 am on June 29, monk Dieu Tinh discovered a blue plastic basin placed in front of the pagoda gate.
Inside was a baby boy wearing a white shirt, yellow pants, a white cloth hat, along with some personal belongings and a piece of paper with the child's name Dao Tuan Khoi, born April 5, 2026.
Through preliminary inspection, the baby was about 2 months old, weighed 5kg, and had stable health. The letter left behind stated that the baby's mother was a student and did not have the conditions to raise her, so she sent her child to a pagoda for care or handed it over to a family that really wished to adopt her.

Immediately after receiving the information, Yen Binh Commune People's Committee made a record of the abandoned child and temporarily handed him over to Hoang Lien Pagoda for care and nurturing from 9:30 am on the same day.
The pagoda is responsible for ensuring nutrition, health care and safety for the baby while waiting to complete the procedures according to regulations.
Yen Binh Commune People's Committee said that within 7 days from the date of notification, if parents or relatives come to pick up the child, they need to present personal papers and documents proving their relationship for consideration and resolution.
After the above time, if no one comes to claim it, the local government will carry out procedures for birth registration and resolve related issues for the baby according to the provisions of law.
