On July 4, the Government held the regular Government meeting in June 2026 and the Government's online conference with localities.
Speaking at the closing of the conference, Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung requested to urgently complete the content and prepare well the dossiers, documents, draft laws, and resolutions to submit to the National Assembly, especially at the Extraordinary Session in August 2026 as well as the Year-End Session.
Among them, there are many particularly important draft laws such as the Land Law, the Penal Code, the Housing Law, the Real Estate Business Law, and the Investment Law.
At the same time, steadfastly and determinedly implement the two-digit growth target for 2026 and the 2026-2030 period, along with the requirement to maintain macroeconomic stability, control inflation and ensure major balances of the economy.
Localities with low growth rates need to carefully review scenarios to concretize them into breakthrough tasks, assign responsibilities for directing implementation and specific progress to sectors and levels, associated with inspection of implementation organization.
The Head of Government noted that industries and localities that have achieved and exceeded growth targets in the first 6 months of the year should continue to strive to achieve higher levels. Industries and localities that have not achieved must be determined to complete, especially Hanoi Capital and Ho Chi Minh City, along with growth engine localities.
Currently, 25/34 localities must make even higher efforts. In the Government's scenario, very specific targets and tasks have been assigned to each sector, each field, each area, requesting ministries, branches and especially provinces and cities directly under the Central Government to pay attention and implement according to the Government's operating scenario and solutions," the Prime Minister said.
The Prime Minister also clearly stated to accelerate the progress of implementation and disbursement of public investment, especially key and important national projects in transportation, roads, railways, airports, electricity, agricultural infrastructure, and projects serving APEC 2027.
The Government has publicly announced and will continue to publicly announce the disbursement progress of projects of each ministry, sector and locality, associated with the responsibility of the head," the Prime Minister said. Along with that, focus on early deployment of large-scale rental housing projects, meeting the needs of workers and laborers.
In particular, the Prime Minister emphasized that the Government will cut the allocation of public investment capital for ministries and localities that disburse slowly and do not meet the progress. At the same time, the Government Party Committee will exchange with the Central Organization Committee to evaluate, arrange, and re-arrange cadres in the coming time in accordance with the Politburo's Conclusion.
The implementation of socio-economic development goals, disbursement of public investment capital and specific tasks are quantitative indicators, which are the basis for evaluating the task completion of Party committees, Party organizations, ministries, branches and localities.
Pay attention to effectively handling backlog and prolonged projects and cases, not only completing the handling plan but also putting those projects into practical implementation to create budget revenue, solve jobs, and remove capital and land backlogs.
Actively implement the 500-day and night campaign to search, repatriate and identify martyrs' remains. Effectively deploy free medical examinations for people; effectively operate Bach Mai Hospital facility 2; inaugurate and put into operation Viet Duc Hospital facility 2 in the coming days.
