One of the unique features of Indochina College of Fine Arts is the harmonious combination of techniques, layouts, and lighting of Western painting with the spirit, theme, and traditional Asian materials such as lacquer, silk, wood, and Do paper. This has created a unique artistic flow, not dissolved among the waves of the West.

The generation of Indochina painters not only left behind top-notch art works but also teachers and enlighters for the next generations. Many of them have become lecturers of the Vietnam School of Fine Arts (later the Vietnam University of Fine Arts), contributing to conveying knowledge, skills, and artistic spirit to the generation of artists of the resistance war, revolution, and the renovation period.

Today, many works of Indochina artists have become national assets, preserved at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum and international collections. These works not only have artistic value but are also valuable documents on Vietnamese culture and society in the early 20th century.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the formation and development of the Indochina College of Fine Arts, from May 18 to 25 at 160 Nghi Tam, Hanoi, Ngoc Ha Art Collection Club will display 60 outstanding paintings by artists who were students of the Indochina College of Fine Arts through the ages, later becoming big names in the Vietnamese fine arts scene including: Nguyen Gia Tri, To Ngoc Van, Le Pho, Vu Cao Dam, Tran Van Can, Luong Xuan Nhi, Nguyen Tien Chung, Le Quoc Loc, Tran Dong Luong, Ton That Dao, Pham Hau... and even foreign artists associated with Vietnamese fine arts such as: Joseph Inguiberty, Louis Rollet...

This is a rare gathering of leading Vietnamese artists, an occasion that painting lovers should not miss.
