In a short time, less than a month, large-scale concerts have been held continuously, attracting tens of thousands of audiences. The image spread across social networking platforms of thousands of audiences waiting in line for tickets, audiences waiting regardless of the sun or rain to watch the concert, or thousands of audiences singing along to the national melodies.
Unprecedented milestone
If we had counted carefully, there would have been many records (in the music industry) set in August, the peak of which marked the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2.
In just the 2 weekend evenings of August 9 - 10, 4 large-scale music concerts were held. Each concert attracts tens of thousands of audiences. On the evening of August 10, despite the thunderstorms, the audience wearing raincoats patiently lined up to watch the concert.
In the long lines of audiences, reporters met young people of Gen Z, Gen Alpha full of youth, enthusiasm, and the entire 7X and 8X generations calmly, wearing shirts with national flags printed in their hearts, quietly lining up in the persistent rain in the afternoon.
At the concert "Fatherland in the Heart", the 68-year-old woman, her leg weak after a long queue, told reporters that she was taken by her son and home to Soc Son. She heard the children talk about the grand and emotional "national concerts", so she definitely had to go see them once.
The phrase "national concert" has become a symbol of Vietnamese music in 2025. The phrase has become trending on digital platforms, and is a widely searched keyword.
A series of "national concerts" are continuously held throughout August, creating an unprecedented atmosphere in Hanoi. Before the concert "Vietnam in Me", the Opera House area was almost broken because thousands of audiences came to hunt for tickets.

To get a ticket to the concert "Vietnam in Me", student Dang Dinh Phong (21 years old, from Hung Yen) currently studying at Hanoi University of Industry, stopped in front of the Opera House from 7pm the previous night (8.20), to become the first person to receive a ticket on the morning of August 21.
Audiences Nguyen Phuong from Bac Ninh stayed up all night in front of the Opera House with her mother for 2 consecutive nights to get a ticket to see Vietnam in Me. Phuong's reason is very simple, "I want to see all national concerts".
In August, Phuong continuously pursued the ticket hunting process for a series of large concerts held in My Dinh and Dong Anh (Hanoi). Vietnam concert is the 3rd music night of the month - Phuong definitely wants to be present to calm her heart before the melodies of the Fatherland absolutely cinema, absolutely exciting with tens of thousands of other audiences, of all ages, all professions, all regions.
Thousands of audiences are not afraid of long routes, they can come from Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Hai Phong, Ninh Binh... They "overcome the sun to overcome the rain", ready to queue all night long to get tickets to the "national concert".
The biggest emotion that all the audiences described was that they wanted to sing the National Anthem with thousands of people, to live in the atmosphere of the national history written in music, to cry in national pride.
That is really special - Nguyen Phuong said.
A strong transformation
When mentioning music concerts, just about a year ago, most of us (from audiences to professionals) could only imagine music nights filled with idol stars. The famous stars of "Anh trai say hi" and "Anh trai vu ngan cong gai" made a miracle with a series of overwhelming concerts on stages with a capacity of up to 40 - 50 thousand people.
Perhaps, it is the attraction from the young music concerts of the "brothers" that created the idea, laid the foundation, and fueled the audience's desire to watch music and watch a grand concert.
The 2024 youth music concert series has also brought a new breath, a fresh breeze, creating more ideas and atmosphere for music producers when they start the 2025 red music concerts.
Red music has stepped onto the stage in 2025 with a completely new look. Singer Trong Tan said, Previously, singers pursuing revolutionary music like us often held live shows inside theaters, such as the Opera House, the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace... In the stands of theaters, the red music resounded very heroically, the audience applauded endlessly.

By 2025, the red music space has come out much more "overwhelmingly", like My Dinh National Stadium. Red music rises in a larger space, coordinated in many modern, fresh arrangements, combined with electronic music, in genres that enhance heroism, and sung by singers to thousands of audiences.
The way of organizing, producing, and staging a series of red music concerts has had strong changes, when red music - revolutionary music is sung with a more modern, closer sound, staged on a large scale, grandly, combined with many modern performance techniques such as 3D mapping, Hologram... bringing a thrilling, overwhelming effect.
It took me to the national concerts to see that Gen Z - Gen Alpha not only sang young music about love in a couple, they not only listened to HIEUTHUHAI or Isaac, RHYDER, they were close to "Ho keo bao bao", "Truong Son Dong Truong Son Tay", "Rung xanh vang vang ta lu"... They were passionate about singing " Duong len len len", viet tiep chuyen hoa, Tuoi tre lai Uncle Ho, Aim of youth...
Spread across social networking platforms, the image of thousands of audiences singing the National Anthem together, singing "Noi tay cuoc lon", singing "Don't ask what the Fatherland has done for us, but ask what we have done for the Fatherland today"... The singing of thousands of people seemed to be multiplied by heroism, pride, and pride, making millions of audiences even if they were not attending the concert emotional.
As Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association said, when coming to art and political concerts like "Fatherland in the heart", there is no "star" or "idols", only the only star on the national flag.
It is the star on the national flag, national pride combined with the strong rise of modern and new forms of organization and production that have created attraction, connecting the hearts and loves of thousands of audiences for the nation and the Fatherland.
"Don't ask what the Fatherland has done for us..."
Prof. Dr. Tran Van Tho (who has worked in the Economic Reform Advisory Groups or in the Policy Research Board of Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet and Prime Minister Phan Van Khai) said that Korea's cultural industry has reached its peak thanks to their extreme national attention.
Ethnicity has helped Korean cinema not only reach the Oscar level, but also become a tourism promotion channel, promoting many cultural symbols, many Korean economic groups reaching out to the world. Korean movies and music make Korean popular, helping simple dishes such as kimchi beetroot, black soy sauce, and even Korean chili sauce to be exported around the world.
Cultural industry is still considered a soft power - a place that can spread and inspire national beauty and the sacred pride of the Fatherland to millions of people - and help the Fatherland step out into the world, standing shoulder to shoulder with the power of 5 continents with its own unique identity.
During the days we celebrate the Fatherland's birthday, many foreign tourists have been amazed when attending the "national concert". They also joined the lineup, immersed in the sacred atmosphere of 50,000 people singing the National Anthem at My Dinh Stadium.
Responding to Lao Dong reporter, Kristina from Russia said that she experienced many emotions when coming to Vietnam these days. Both surprised and surprised, and moved by the beauty that the Vietnamese people create for their country.
Coming to Vietnam at special times, foreign tourists find it more popular, more attached to Vietnam, and want to join the crowd of people traveling on roads covered with flags and music.
The soft power of Vietnam's cultural and performing industries is being demonstrated more clearly than ever through the image of the national flag flying on music stages, through the image of thousands of audiences singing along to history, through a series of proud melodies resounding proudly.
During these days, millions of Vietnamese people have told themselves, "Don't ask what the Fatherland has done for us, but ask, what we have done for the Fatherland today". Everyone hopes to contribute and express their love for the Fatherland in their own way.
Today's national character will create a powerful cultural industry for Vietnam in the future.
