Many teacher training schools such as Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, Hong Duc University, University of Education, Hanoi National University, etc. also recorded high benchmark scores.
In 2025, the common scores for high school graduation exams will decrease sharply compared to 2024, many universities have lowered their floor scores by 1-4 points, even some majors have reduced them by 6 points.
However, with the characteristics of the group of teacher training majors, many experts predict that the standard score for the Pedagogy major will hardly decrease significantly and will still maintain the top position.
At the University of Education, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in 2024, the rate of admission according to wishes will be 1/22; by 2025, the rate of admission according to wishes will increase to 1/30, especially in a major with a record of 1/200 candidates competing for a place.
Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thanh Nam - Vice Principal of the school - predicted that the admission score is differentiated between the pedagogical and non-pedagogical sectors. Due to the large number of applications, the benchmark scores for pedagogical majors this year are not expected to decrease, and may even increase.
Similarly at Hong Duc University, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Van Dung - Principal of the school said that with the number of applications/number of targets assigned by the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province, I think that this year's admission score could increase slightly (0.5 to 0.75 points) compared to the admission score in 2024".
When discussing the picture of university admissions in 2025, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Duc Son - Principal of Hanoi National University of Education acknowledged that the reason for the increased attraction of the pedagogical sector in 2025 is partly due to the Law on Teachers being passed and officially taking effect from 2026.
Many new policies are a motivation for many students. Therefore, he hopes that the quality of admission to the pedagogical major this year will be better.
This year's admission season, to ensure accurate, fair and objective admission results, the Ministry of Education and Training extends the time to organize admission and handle admission wishes on the system.
The Ministry recommends that educational institutions do not announce admission benchmarks before the final virtual filter on the system, that is, do not announce before 12:30 on August 22.
Previously, according to the Ministry's plan, from 5:00 p.m. on August 20 to before 5:00 p.m. on August 22, schools must announce the admission scores for the first round of 2025.
