On his second return to China, on the occasion of the country's National Day, Bui Quang Thuy (born in 1999, Thai Binh) took the opportunity to visit major cities. He calculated that he had walked 100,000 steps on his journey this fall.
Unexpected beauty
During his 15 days in China, the male tourist spent most of his time visiting Nanjing and Beijing. He said: “From Nanjing to Shanghai and Suzhou is quite close, transportation is not difficult. Therefore, I only spent 3 days exploring, the remaining days were spent exploring the other two cities.”
Indeed, everything he programmed before the trip was 100% completed and did not disappoint him.
In Beijing, he visited Tiananmen Square, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, and Tsinghua University and the Forbidden City, two places that helped him fulfill his wish on the list of must-see places.
“As soon as I set foot in the Forbidden City, I felt like I was lost in another era. I was deeply impressed by the design and the color combination of gold and red in the Forbidden City. If I have the opportunity to come to Beijing again, I will still choose this place to explore further,” Thuy said.
In Nanjing city, Mr. Thuy visited Meiling Palace - a gift from Chiang Kai-shek to his wife, Miss Song Meiling... Seen from above, Meiling Palace looks like a giant necklace made from French parasol trees, with the highlight being the jade-like mansion.
Coming to this relic site, visitors will admire the enchanting beauty of the French parasol trees planted throughout the city. The parasol trees that line both sides of the road are nearly a hundred years old, changing their colors brilliantly in all four seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. The French parasol is a type of tree belonging to the family of Euphorbia. According to an old legend, Soong Meiling was especially fond of this tree.
Quang Thuy revealed: “When I read about the sycamore avenue, I just wanted to quickly witness the “witness” of that romantic story. And, when I arrived, like many other tourists, I was “captivated” by the natural beauty.”
Shanghai left the male tourist overwhelmed with its high-rise buildings as well as the fast pace of life of a bustling, dynamic city. He did not miss the city's prominent destinations such as: Lujiazui, TV Tower, Shanghai Bund, Nanjing Avenue.
In return, Suzhou retains the romance and simplicity of time. The charm of Suzhou, with rows of traditional houses reflecting on the water, is an ideal stop to calm the mind and immerse yourself in the peaceful rhythm of life.
Satisfying trip
Every day, the male tourist walks an average of 5,000 - 6,000 steps. Although he has to walk a lot, Quang Thuy finds those steps are worth it. He captures in his eyes and memory the breathtakingly beautiful scenes.
He took countless photos to capture that beauty and brought them home to share with his friends. When he posted them online, he even said that the photos were so beautiful that he didn’t need to write much about them.
Because the trip coincided with China's National Day, Quang Thuy's airfare and hotel costs almost doubled. The total cost was more than 30 million VND.
Also because he was traveling at this time, he encountered crowded places at all the tourist attractions. Fortunately, the weather in the cities he visited was fine. Only in Shanghai for 2 days, although he checked the weather carefully, it was cloudy and rainy, forcing him to limit his travel.
Thanks to his girlfriend studying abroad in China, Quang Thuy did not have much difficulty communicating with the locals. In some cases, he did not understand, and even using a phone application, he could not translate what the Chinese people said, and only then did Quang Thuy and his girlfriend realize that they were speaking the dialect.
During his previous trip to China, Quang Thuy visited Chongqing - Jiuzhaigou and this trip always stimulated him to want to continue exploring the country of billions of people many more times.
Even while still in China, the male tourist was already thinking about his next trip in this country. With a thirst for discovery and a talent for photography, he was weighing and measuring whether to choose Inner Mongolia or Tibet as his next destination...
