On August 16, Emulation Block 04 - An Giang Provincial Employees' Trade Union held a project handover ceremony to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024) and celebrate 136 years of President Ton Duc Thang's birthday (August 20, 1888 - August 20, 2024) in Tri Ton district and Tinh Bien town.
Accordingly, a delegation was organized to offer flowers and incense, and at the same time hand over the project "Street lights to light up the countryside" at O Ta Soc revolutionary base relic site (Luong Phi commune, Tri Ton district). The project includes 10 solar lights on the route connecting the path to the relic site.
It is known that O Ta Soc was an important revolutionary base that made the victory of the army and people of An Giang in particular and the Southwest region in general during the two resistance wars against the French colonialists and the American imperialists, contributing to regain the nation's independence.
On this occasion, the union also gave 10 bicycles and "Going to school" gifts to students who are children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances in Luong Phi commune.
It is known that the total implementation cost of 30 million VND was contributed by union members of Emulation Block 04 - An Giang Provincial Public Employees' Union.
On the same day, Emulation Block 04 - An Giang Provincial Employee Trade Union also installed a sign for the project "Nurturing 100 hectares of Melaleuca forest" at Tra Su Melaleuca forest located in Van Giao commune, Tinh Bien town.
