On August 7, the Labor Union (LĐLĐ) of Cái Bè District (Tiền Giang Province) held a ceremony to unveil the signboard of the provincial-level emulation project “Upgrading and Expanding District Road 73” to welcome the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union.
The project “Upgrading and Expanding District Road 73”, with a length of 2,500m; width of 0.5m, sidewalk of 0.75m/side, with a total investment of over 108.07 million dong. The project was commenced on March 8, 2024, completed on July 5, 2024, 63 days ahead of schedule.
In his speech at the unveiling ceremony of the project project, Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Dung - Chief of the Office of LĐLĐ of Tiền Giang Province - highly appreciated the spirit and efforts of the relevant units that cooperated to complete the project ahead of schedule, ensuring good quality of technology and aesthetics, and achieving high efficiency.
“The completed project has great significance in serving people's travel and transportation of agricultural products more conveniently. In addition, the project also has great significance in the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union” - Mrs. Dung shared.
On the same day, the Labor Union of Cái Bè District held a meeting to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024).
At the meeting, Mr. Thân Văn Kỳ - Chairman of the Labor Union of Cái Bè District - reviewed the glorious tradition of 95 years of establishment and development of the Trade Union organization.
In recent times, the Labor Union of Cái Bè District has continuously improved the quality of its activities, well performed the task of protecting the legitimate rights and interests, taking care of the material and spiritual life, actively mobilizing and gathering the team of workers, civil servants, and laborers to strive to complete the annual tasks, contributing to the development of the district.
On this occasion, the Labor Union of Cái Bè District awarded 17 commemorative medals “For the cause of building the Trade Union organization” of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to 17 trade union officials at the grassroots level. At the same time, it organized the “Trade Union Profession in 2024” contest, with 133 chairmen of trade unions and professional associations participating and awarding 7 collectives with outstanding achievements in the task of mobilizing union members to participate in the online contest to learn about the “Resolution of the Trade Union Congress at all levels and relevant legal documents on the implementation of the Regulations on Grassroots Democracy in 2024” organized by LĐLĐ of Tiền Giang Province.
