On August 7, the Labor Union of Van Lam District recently organized a meeting with trade union officials across different periods to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, 25 years since the re-establishment of Van Lam District, and the decision to establish grassroots trade unions.
Over the past 25 years, Van Lam District and the district trade union have undergone significant changes in terms of organization and activities. The number of trade unions has increased rapidly, with a diverse structure and improved quality. In the early years of re-establishment, Van Lam District Trade Union had 11 grassroots trade unions, with over 2,600 union members and, as of July 2024, the district has 165 grassroots trade unions, with 17,984 union members/ 21,442 CNVCLĐ.
In addition to maintaining and improving the quality of activities, Van Lam Trade Union has consistently innovated and organized new activities, such as the Spring Summer Festival, the Labor Day Festival, and the traditional football tournament for CNVCLĐ; the Spring Festival, the Summer Festival; the "Excellent Labor, Creative Labor" emulation movement, linked to the study and implementation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style…

In his opening speech at the Chairman of the Provincial Labor Union Hung Yen Lê Quang Toản and the Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Van Lam District Party Committee Phạm Văn Cường highly appreciated and praised the outstanding achievements of trade unions at all levels in the district over the past years.
At the same time, they requested that trade unions at all levels in the district continue to promote the spirit of unity, innovation, and activities to meet the requirements of the integration and development period. Union members, laborers, and civil servants need to continue to promote their initiative, creativity, and labor to contribute to the development of their units, enterprises, and the province, and to develop the country.
At the meeting, the district labor union also awarded decisions to establish 3 grassroots trade unions, including the Chi nhánh nhà máy sản xuất - Công ty CP nhựa Sinh Thái; CĐCS Công ty Gỗ Bảo Long Vina and CĐCS Công ty TNHH Hạt Nhựa Mầu Việt Trung. Additionally, they awarded certificates of merit to 17 individuals and 6 collectives for their outstanding achievements in trade union activities in the 2023-2024 academic year.
