On May 5, at Samsung SDI Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Yen Phong Industrial Park), the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with the grassroots trade union of enterprises to organize the "Trade Union Meal" program in 2026. This is a practical activity in response to Workers' Month 2026.
Attending were: Mr. Vu Anh Duc - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Thach Van Chung - Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation.
In a warm and friendly atmosphere at the enterprise's dining area, leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Labor Federation and representatives of enterprises directly enjoyed meals and talked with workers.The meals were prepared thoughtfully, ensuring nutrition and food safety, not only as simple meals but also showing the specific and practical concern of trade union organizations and enterprises for the health and fitness of workers.
With the company's trade union funding, each meal is worth 63,000 VND, an increase of 30,000 VND/meal compared to the daily meal with 4 diverse menus for workers to choose from (including 3 rice menus and 1 vermicelli menu). The meal has a variety of dishes; in addition, each meal has fruit for dessert and yogurt to drink.
It is known that Samsung SDI Vietnam Co., Ltd. is a 100% Korean-invested enterprise, specializing in producing batteries for phones, handheld devices and electric vehicles. Currently, the enterprise creates jobs for nearly 1,800 workers with an average income of nearly 11 million VND/person/month.
Not only stopping at financial support, the company also focuses on improving the quality of meals by improving menus and diversifying dishes. The stages from selecting ingredients, processing, saving samples to serving are strictly controlled to ensure food safety and hygiene.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Vu Anh Duc congratulated the outstanding results in production and business of the enterprise in nearly 17 years of investment in Bac Ninh province. After listening to the report, Mr. Vu Anh Duc highly appreciated the company's trade union activities, not only performing well the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members, but also coordinating with businesses to effectively organize emulation movements and build sustainable resources for joint development.
In the coming time, with the motto "Good labor, high productivity, good income", the focus of the trade union organization's activities is to launch emulation movements, encourage and motivate workers to promote initiatives, improve labor productivity, and contribute to the development of businesses and localities. Therefore, Mr. Vu Anh Duc requested businesses to continue to create the most favorable conditions for grassroots trade unions to operate, take care of the material and spiritual lives of union members and workers; launch specific and practical emulations for union members to contribute ideas and initiatives to improve techniques, for the common good.
On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presented 100 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances, suffering from dangerous diseases and outstanding typical union members of the company.
