On the morning of October 31, Binh Dinh Labor Federation implemented coordination regulations with the Provincial Police.
Attending the conference, in addition to key union officials, there were also representatives of 25 enterprises employing many workers in the area.
According to Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, the coordination regulations between the Federation of Labor and Binh Dinh Police were built on the principle of unity from the province to the grassroots; proactive, timely; ensuring protection of State secrets.
The Regulation consists of 3 chapters and 9 articles. It specifically stipulates 10 coordination contents, including: Building and enhancing the prestige and position of the People's Public Security Forces and all levels of the Vietnam Trade Union in the political system as well as social life; exchanging and providing information and documents related to the functions, tasks and powers of each party; participating in the development of legal policies on ensuring security and order; organizing trade unions; rights, obligations and policies for workers.
Ensure internal political security, information security, network security, state secrets, safety of trade union agencies; ensure worker security, security of economic zones, and industrial clusters.
Prevent, combat, and stop plots to take advantage of employee representative organizations at enterprises outside the Vietnam Trade Union system to violate national security and social order and safety.
Ensure security and safety of events hosted or co-organized by the Provincial Federation of Labor; prevent drug crimes, violations of the law, etc.
Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Binh Dinh Labor Federation Ha Duy Trung said that upgrading action plans and programs into coordination regulations shows the consensus and concern of the public security sector for the workers' movement. "The recent incidents show that the requirement to closely grasp the situation of life, work, and safety and order in production facilities, industrial zones and clusters is very important. The coordination regulations clearly stipulate the responsibilities of each party. It will be difficult to accept if a complicated situation arises that the grassroots union and the employer there are surprised. At this conference, we invited representatives of enterprises that employ a large number of workers to attend. Some enterprises have 400 - 500 workers but only recruit 20 - 30 union members. Where are the rest? Why?", Mr. Trung asked.
The conference heard the leaders of Department PA03, Provincial Police and Department of Information and Communications of Binh Dinh presenting the topics: Political security, social order and safety; worker security; the situation of management and use of social networks; handling bad and toxic information on cyberspace; raising awareness of information security and self-protection ability on cyberspace for union officials...
