On November 28, the Trade Union of Can Tho Medical College said that the unit had successfully organized the 14th Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
During the term, the income and benefits of civil servants and employees (VC-NLD) are guaranteed. The Trade Union coordinated with the Youth Union and the government to organize programs to provide free medical examinations, medicine, and gifts to more than 2,700 people in Can Tho and Ca Mau, with a total value of more than 1 billion VND.
The grassroots trade union always adheres to the criteria of building a strong trade union organization, innovating methods, and improving the quality of activities. Of which, 3 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the City Labor Federation (LDLD), 6 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Health Sector Trade Union.
The work of caring for the material and spiritual lives of union members and employees has always been focused on. The trade union coordinated with the government to spend more than 2 billion VND on activities to take care of holidays and Tet; visit sick leave, insurance, and uniforms for VC-NLD.
Regarding women's work, there are only 1 individual awarded the Certificate of Merit for Excellent Trade Unions, 1 individual awarded the Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Trade Union Members in 2025 by the Can Tho City Labor Federation, 4 individuals awarded the Certificate of Merit for Excellent Trade Unions of the Health Sector Trade Union.
Speaking at the congress, Vice President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation Tran Tu Nhien acknowledged and appreciated the efforts, sense of responsibility, solidarity, joint efforts, and unity of the Executive Committee, union members, and employees at the School.
Entering the 2025-2030 term, the Vice Chairman of the City Labor Federation requested the Executive Committee of the Trade Union to strive to carry out at the same time in parallel with professional tasks associated with trade union activities, closely following the direction of the superior Trade Union Committee. Implement well the programs and content with core values to care for and protect union members and workers.
The unit also needs to actively aim at the common goal of building a school for sustainable development; successfully implement the targets and resolutions set out, and soon put the Congress motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development" into practice.
The Congress elected the new Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the new term, consisting of 5 comrades; elected 1 official delegate and 1 delegate on a deficiency to attend the 1st Congress of the Can Tho City Trade Union, term 2025 - 2030. Comrade Kieu Thi Diem Trang was re-elected as President of the Trade Union of Can Tho Medical College for the 2025 - 2030 term.
On this occasion, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union also launched a campaign to support people affected by storms and floods with an amount of nearly 40 million VND.
