On the afternoon of April 1st, the Party Committee of O Mon Ward, Can Tho City organized a Conference of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of O Mon Ward to summarize the work situation in the first quarter and deploy the work program for the second quarter of 2026.
Attending the conference were Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation Le Thi Suong Mai; Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Chau Viet Tha Ward and members of the Executive Committee of the Ward Party Committee.
In the first quarter of 2026, the Ward Party Committee will focus on leading and comprehensively directing the Party building and political system work according to the set program and plan; closely follow the leadership of superiors and the actual situation of the locality.
Many key tasks have been effectively implemented, such as organizing the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year in 2026, the military recruitment work in 2026 and the preparation for the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term, and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term.
Budget revenue collection achieved and exceeded the schedule; urban order management and environmental sanitation were strengthened; social security policies were implemented fully and promptly. The political security and social order and safety situation in the ward continued to be maintained.
Also at the Conference, entering the second quarter of 2026, Chairman of Can Tho City Labor Federation Le Thi Suong Mai requested the Party Committee of O Mon ward to continue to improve the leadership capacity and combat strength of the Party organization; strengthen political and ideological education, firmly grasp the public opinion situation; effectively implement the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress associated with the practical tasks of the locality; promote studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style in a substantive direction.
Localities need to focus on economic development in a sustainable direction; support businesses and business households to develop production; accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital; strengthen land management, construction order and urban embellishment in a civilized and modern direction, in accordance with the development orientation of Can Tho City.
The ward also needs to continue to improve the quality of cultural and social fields; effectively implement social security work; proactively prevent and control epidemics; promote administrative reform and digital transformation, improve the quality of service to the people. At the same time, maintain national defense and security, strengthen the fight against crime and social evils; improve the effectiveness of citizen reception, complaint and denunciation resolution, and prevent hot spots from arising.
According to Ms. Mai, it is necessary to promote the role of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in mass mobilization work, create consensus among the people, and mobilize the strength of the entire political system to effectively implement local development tasks in the coming time.
