According to the Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones Authority, infrastructure in Tan Phu Thanh Industrial Park (IP) and Song Hau IP is seriously degraded, directly affecting production activities, goods circulation and competitiveness of enterprises.

Records of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters at Tan Phu Thanh Industrial Park and Song Hau Industrial Park show that many internal roads in the industrial park are bumpy, peeling, and the road surface is damaged. The drainage system at some locations drains slowly, water stagnates, especially after moderate and heavy rains. Many areas have experienced prolonged localized flooding, making it difficult for goods circulation and movement of workers in the area.

The Management Board of Can Tho Industrial Parks has coordinated with relevant agencies to conduct actual surveys and summarize reports on the damage status of infrastructure. On that basis, the units proposed that the City People's Committee consider investing in upgrading the technical infrastructure system.
According to the plan, the upgrading of transport infrastructure in the IP is expected to have a total investment of about 239 billion VND.

At the same time, the Hau River centralized wastewater treatment station also needs to be upgraded according to Decision No. 48/QD-BNNMT dated January 9, 2026 and Circular No. 6, 2025/TT-BTNMT dated February 28, 2025 of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (QCVN 40:2025/BTNMT), with a total estimated investment of about 30 billion VND.
Upgrading the wastewater treatment station will serve the wastewater treatment needs of businesses, improve infrastructure quality and investment attractiveness.
