According to the Department of Fisheries and Environment, by the end of August 2025, more than 97% of the total of over 4,000 fishing vessels 6 m or longer have been granted an exploitation license; all fishing vessels 15 m or longer are equipped with voyage monitoring equipment (VMS) and are strictly managed.
The Da Nang Trade Union focuses on supporting fishermen in registering for fishing licenses, organizing training on fisheries laws and IUU regulations, and disseminating knowledge on handling administrative violations when not complying with regulations.

In addition to propaganda and awareness building, the Trade Union also supports fishermen with safety equipment: life jackets, national flags, and improved fishing tools to minimize accidental violations due to substandard equipment; at the same time, it mobilizes fishermen to participate in the models of "Solidarity and safety of boats" and "Self-managed wharf".
Thereby, contributing to Da Nang's common efforts in removing the "yellow card" warning, protecting aquatic resources and enhancing the reputation of seafood products in the international market.
