The working delegation of Dien Bien province led by Mr. Tan Minh Long - Chairman of the Labor Federation (LDLD) - participated in exchange activities and shared experiences with 5 northern Lao provinces including: Bo Keo, Luang Nam Tha, Luang Prabang, Udom Say, Phong Sa Ly.
This is one of the activities under the memorandum of understanding between the Dien Bien Provincial Federation of Labor and the Federation of Trade Unions of 5 Northern Provinces, Lao People's Democratic Republic.
At the talks, the parties informed each other about the political, economic and social situation of the province; information about the living conditions and employment of union members and workers as well as the activities of the trade unions of the parties.
At the same time, focus on exchanging and sharing experiences in organizing workers' and civil servants' movements and trade union activities that both parties are interested in, such as: Caring for, representing, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers.
Propaganda work, raising awareness, sense of law compliance, professional skills for union members and workers; developing union members and inspection, supervision, improving the quality of union activities...
At the end of the meeting, the Dien Bien Provincial Federation of Labor and the Federation of Trade Unions of 5 Northern Lao Provinces agreed to continue to strengthen the exchange of information on trade union activities in the coming time. By 2026, a meeting will be held to sign a memorandum of understanding between the Dien Bien Provincial Federation of Labor and the Federation of Trade Unions of 5 Northern Lao Provinces in Dien Bien province.
