On September 30, the Trade Union of Dong Thap Industrial Parks and Economic Zones and the Trade Union of Cadovimex II Seafood Import-Export Joint Stock Company (Cadovimex II) organized the handover of the Trade Union Shelter to union members with housing difficulties.
Attending the handover were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan - Chairman of the Trade Union of Dong Thap Industrial Parks and Economic Zones; Mr. Ly Trong Khang - Chairman of the Trade Union of Cadovimex II Company.
Accordingly, the house was handed over to union member Huynh Tan Minh (born in 1982) of the Cadovimex II Company Union (located at Group 2, Tan Thanh Hamlet, Hoa Thanh Commune, Lai Vung District, Dong Thap Province).
The house has an area of 67m2, with a corrugated iron roof, thatched walls... with a total cost of 173,000,000 VND. Of which, the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation supported 55,000,000 VND from the Dong Thap Golden Heart Charitable Social Fund Branch, the rest was lent by relatives without interest and brothers in the company contributed working days to build a new, more spacious house.
It is known that the Trade Union Shelter was built right on the old foundation of the house that the union member Huynh Tan Minh's family first built 15 years ago. However, due to the fact that there are 5 people, while the income is only enough to cover the minimum needs, not enough savings for renovation, it has seriously degraded...
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan - Chairman of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks and Economic Zones of Dong Thap - said that the Trade Union Shelter support program of the Dong Thap Golden Heart Charitable Social Fund Branch has become a social activity with widespread influence, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, mutual love and mutual assistance "the rich help the poor" and has been widely supported by union members, workers and laborers.
