The house is worth 150 million VND, of which the Kien Giang Trade Union Shelter fund supported 50 million VND, and the union member's family and relatives contributed an additional 100 million VND.
Union member Dang Thi Diem (born in 1985), currently a nurse at the U Minh Thuong District Medical Center. Ms. Diem shared: “I am very happy and pleased to receive support from the Trade Union organization to consider giving a house so that I can have a stable place to live and work with peace of mind. I also hope that union members with housing difficulties like me will soon be supported to settle down and work with peace of mind.
On the same day, the leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor handed over the Trade Union Shelter to union member Dang Van Tuan, from the Vinh Thuan District Health Center Union, under the Health Sector Union. The house is located in Cai Nua Hamlet, Binh Minh Commune, with a total value of 250 million VND. The Trade Union Shelter Fund supported 50 million VND, the remaining amount was contributed by the union member's family and relatives.
Union member Dang Van Tuan (born in 1984) joined the Union in 2008 and is currently a nurse at the Vinh Thuan District Medical Center. Tuan said that his family's house, which was previously a corrugated iron factory, collapsed in a storm in November 2023, so he had to stay at his parents' house.
Mr. Tuan's income is nearly 9 million VND/month but it is quite difficult to take care of a family of 4. "My wife is a housewife, 2 children are in school, if it were not for the support of the Union, the agency, colleagues, and relatives, I would never have had a cozy and spacious house like this", Mr. Tuan confided.
At the handover ceremony, Ms. Trang Thi Bich Ngoc - Vice President of the Kien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor sent her congratulations to the union members for having a new, more spacious place to live, no longer worried about wind and rain, and gave each family a gift to celebrate the new house. Ms. Ngoc hopes that the union members will continue to make efforts, strive, overcome difficulties and obstacles, and successfully complete the tasks assigned by the agency.
