On October 23, Thong Nhat Ward Trade Union, Gia Lai Province held the first Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030.
Accordingly, Thong Nhat Ward Trade Union was established and officially put into operation from July 1, 2025, assigned to manage 30 grassroots trade unions and grassroots trade unions with 1,603 union members in Thong Nhat Ward and Bien Ho Commune.
On September 15, 2025, the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor decentralized and assigned additional management authority to 11 grassroots unions and grassroots unions with 261 union members in 5 communes: Chu Pah, Ia Khuol, Ia Grai, Ia Hrung, Ia Krai.

At the same time, the Ward Union is assigned to monitor, develop union members and establish grassroots unions in 5 communes without union organizations: Ia Ly, Ia Phi, Ia Chia, Ia O and Gao.
Ms. Truong Thi My Le - Chairwoman of Thong Nhat Ward Trade Union - said: "The assignment of additional management scope in a large area poses many difficulties and challenges in terms of organization, human resources and methods of operation. Ward trade unions must strive to innovate, be more creative and proactive in leadership and direction.

Since its establishment, the Ward Union has coordinated to organize traffic safety propaganda and give gifts to 150 union members and workers; cooperated with Happy Smile Dental Clinic to organize free oral health care for 200 union members and children of workers, with a total support of 100 million VND.
The Trade Union also implemented the "Union Meal" Plan, which has been implemented by 5 units to serve 718 union members; at the same time, it proposed that the Provincial Federation of Labor support 1 union member with a serious illness with an amount of 4 million VND.
By the end of the term, Thong Nhat Ward Trade Union strives to have 2,000 union members, and 100% of non-state enterprises with 20 or more employees will establish trade unions.
