On the afternoon of September 10, the small house in village 3, Hop Thanh commune was covered with a white cloth. Ms. Vu Thi Khanh Ha, wife of Mr. Bui Van T (born in 1991, residing in village 3, Hop Thanh commune) cried until her tears ran out.
Mr. T is a worker at Duc Thinh Shipping Company (An Lu Commune, Thuy Nguyen District). Before storm No. 3, Mr. T, his father and colleagues boarded a 1,000-ton ship.
Hearing about storm number 3, his ship had anchored at Gieng Day port since September 6. However, on the morning of September 7, big waves and strong winds caused by storm number 3 pulled his ship out to sea, causing it to sink. His father swam to shore to escape, but T and Le Van H (chief engineer, from Thanh Hoa) could not escape in time and died on the ship.
The news of Mr. T's death due to the storm was a huge shock to his family, relatives, friends, especially his wife. He and his wife have 3 children, the oldest is in 7th grade, the youngest is only 4 years old. Mr. T went by boat, his wife is a worker at Kyocera Co., Ltd. (VSIP Industrial Park). The whole family is still staying at his grandparents' house in village 3, Hop Thanh commune. "On September 6, I heard that the boat was anchored safely, I was somewhat reassured, but on September 7 and 8, I lost contact with my husband, then received the news that he had passed away..." - Ms. Ha choked up.
Sharing the pain and loss with Mr. Bui Van T's family, on the afternoon of September 10, the delegation of the City Labor Federation led by Ms. Bui Thi Ngoc - Permanent Vice President visited and encouraged. At the same time, they hoped that the family would overcome their grief to properly arrange the funeral for Mr. T and overcome difficulties. The representative of the City Labor Federation also requested the Thuy Nguyen District Labor Federation and the Economic Zone Trade Union to pay attention and take care of the families of victims who died due to the storm.
Previously, on the evening of September 8, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation also visited and gave subsidies to the family of a male worker at Thuan Ich Shoe Company (Tien Lang district) whose roof collapsed and he died in storm No. 3.
Also on the afternoon of September 10, the Standing Vice President of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation visited and encouraged three enterprises in Hong Bang district that suffered heavy damage from the storm: LS Vina Electric Cable and System Joint Stock Company, OSR Joint Stock Company, and Binh An Enterprise.
