Attending the meeting were Mr. Tran Van Huyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Hau Giang province.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Van Huyen affirmed that, along with the country's development process, the working class, workers, and trade union organizations of Hau Giang, Soc Trang, and Can Tho City have grown and developed both in quantity and quality.
With the achievements obtained in recent times, the Hau Giang Trade Union in particular and the Soc Trang, Can Tho Trade Unions in general have promoted their roles, contributed, and created good development steps, contributing to the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country.
In the coming time, the trade union organization needs to promote many activities to take care of the material and cultural spiritual life of officials, public servants, employees, and workers, contributing to helping workers reduce difficulties, feel secure in their work, dedicate, and produce.
Focus on the grassroots, build a strong grassroots Trade Union organization, a reliable support for members, and workers.
Mr. Le Cong Khanh - Chairman of the Hau Giang Provincial Labor Confederation said: "Looking back on the 95-year journey, we are always proud of the glorious tradition of the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union organization.
It is a tradition of patriotism, self-reliance, absolute loyalty to the ideals of the Party; a tradition of solidarity, mutual affection, and mutual support; wholeheartedly striving for the benefits of the working class and workers. In recent times, the Hau Giang Trade Union has grown in all aspects, making great contributions to the overall development of the province."
To recognize and commend exemplary individuals in the movement of effective innovation in trade union organization activities, this year, the Standing Committee of the Hau Giang Provincial Labor Confederation decided to honor 95 outstanding and exemplary grassroots trade union and grassroots union presidents at the provincial level.
On this occasion, many trade union officials were awarded the commemorative medal for the cause of building the Trade Union organization by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; former presidents, vice presidents, and members of the standing committee of the confederation of 3 provinces and cities through different periods were given gifts as a token of gratitude and thanks for their contributions over time.
Previously, the delegation attending the meeting of specialized trade union officials from different periods in Hau Giang province, Can Tho City, and Soc Trang province visited the Hau Giang Provincial Martyrs Cemetery.
