On this day 95 years ago, in the revolutionary atmosphere of the people of the whole country, under the direction of the Executive Committee of the Indochina Communist Party, at house number 15 Hang Non Street, Hanoi, the General Assembly Red Tonkin, the predecessor of the Trade Union, was officially established, headed by leader Nguyen Duc Canh.
This is a very important event, a brilliant milestone marking a new development step of the Vietnamese workers' movement. For the first time in history, the Vietnamese working class has a large revolutionary organization, operating with principles and goals, representing the will and aspirations of the majority of workers, contributing to the growth of the domestic revolutionary movement as well as the international communist and workers' movements.
“95 years, through countless difficulties and challenges, under the Party's leadership, the Vietnam Trade Union has continuously grown, matured, accompanied the nation, and is a reliable and loyal force and support. Party members, attached by blood and flesh, wholeheartedly striving for the rights of the working class and laborers. At every historical period, the working class and trade unions have made worthy contributions to the great victory of the Vietnamese revolution" - Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang affirmed.
