In the first 6 months of 2024, the district's trade unions have performed well the function of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers. Policies on salary, social insurance, health insurance, rewards, salary increases, working time, health check-up regime, holidays and New Year are guaranteed according to the provisions of law.
The district Labor Federation mobilized to build a Trade Union Shelter fund in 2024 of more than 170 million VND, reaching more than 150% of the plan, thereby supporting the repair and construction of 4 new Trade Union Shelters. Communist unions visited and gave gifts to more than 1,900 sick union members and workers in difficult circumstances with an amount of about 769 million VND.
Regarding the implementation of the welfare program for union members, the district Labor Confederation signed an agreement to coordinate with units to donate 2,000 dental care incentives to union members and workers; Supported 2,000 test packages to evaluate liver function, kidney function, blood sugar, and blood fat worth over 300 million VND.
However, there are still limitations: the Communist Party of the Communist Party of the non-state sector has not yet been established; The work of propagating labor laws to union members and workers in the non-state sector still has many limitations, and the rights and interests of workers are not guaranteed in some places.
From now until the end of the year, district trade unions at all levels strive to overcome difficulties, strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of policies and laws directly related to trade union members and workers, especially in regional areas. non-state-owned sectors and units with large numbers of workers. Instructing unions in businesses to help employees sign labor contracts in accordance with the law; negotiate, sign and implement collective labor agreements, prevent labor disputes. Organize to sign a cooperation agreement with a company or business to improve the welfare of union members.
