On the evening of September 16, the program "Full Moon Festival Night" in 2024 for students and children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances took place at Tac Cau Fishing Port (Chau Thanh District) and Ha Tien City.
According to records in Chau Thanh district, the District Labor Federation coordinated with the Commune Union and Binh An Secondary School to organize the program "Full Moon Festival Night", thereby creating a meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival program for children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances in the Tac Cau Fishing Port area.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hong - Chairwoman of Chau Thanh District Labor Federation said: "We wish to organize a meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival with many activities for children, thereby demonstrating the concern of the Trade Union and Youth Union in caring for and educating children".
Chairman of the Kien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor Truong Thanh Thuy said that this year, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor assigned the Chau Thanh District Federation of Labor to develop a plan to organize the "Full Moon Festival Night" program in 2024 for children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances at the Tac Cau Fishing Port Trade Union.
From the social mobilization and the Union fund, the Provincial Labor Federation allocated Mid-Autumn Festival gifts for children of union members and workers at the Tac Cau Fishing Port Trade Union and 2 Trade Unions under the Provincial Labor Federation (KTC Canned Food Factory under the Trade Union of Kien Giang Trading Joint Stock Company and the Trade Union of Kien Giang Seafood Joint Stock Company). A total of 400 gifts including cakes, lanterns and cash (each worth 300,000 VND).
In Ha Tien City, the Mid-Autumn Festival program also brought joyful moments of the Mid-Autumn Festival to children. 100 gifts were also given to 100 children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances in the area.
Hoang Dang Huynh Anh, a third grader at My Duc Primary School (Ha Tien City) shared: “I am very happy to attend the Mid-Autumn Festival, I got to watch the performances by my friends and soldiers. We also received gifts and cakes. I will try to study harder so as not to let everyone down.”
Nguyen Huy Hoang, a student of grade 8/4 at Binh An Secondary School in Chau Thanh District (whose mother is a worker at a seafood company in Chau Thanh District) said: “I really like participating in the Mid-Autumn Festival. We get to participate in the quiz game with Hang and Cuoi, and enjoy a feast with lots of cakes and sweets. I rarely get to go out or participate in fun activities like this, so I really hope there will be more programs organized for us to participate in.”
