On September 25, the Chairman of the Trade Union of a garment factory in the East of Lam Dong province said that the situation of workers at the unit was stable after the grassroots trade union promptly intervened, denying false rumors about overtime.
Previously, information appeared on social networks that the factory was assigning workers to work overtime on Sundays, affecting family activities on weekends. The post attracted public attention and there were some negative stimulating comments.
As soon as the situation was grasped, the Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union quickly arrived at the factory, met and visited each worker.

Through verification, the above information comes from the husband of a female worker. This person did not clearly understand that his wife voluntarily registered for overtime, so he posted false information. In fact, workers who registered to work overtime did not have any opposite opinions.
According to the Chairman of the Trade Union of this facility, the overtime is to meet production progress and ship ship shipments in time. Workers who register for overtime are completely voluntary and are paid 200% of their salary even though the workload is still the same as normal days.
Only a few workers registered, not all workers worked overtime. Before implementation, the factory also discussed and agreed with the grassroots union to ensure the regime is in accordance with regulations for employees.
The incident was quickly clarified and explained by the grassroots union so that workers and the public could understand the true nature.
The Department of Legal Policy and Labor Relations, Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation also grasped the situation and discussed with grassroots unions to find solutions.
The role of a " bridge" of trade unions not only ensures the rights of workers but also contributes to maintaining harmonious labor relations, creating trust and cohesion in enterprises.
