On April 18, leaders of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of Lao Cai province said that the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions is being promoted, towards the peak of Workers' Month 2026.
Accordingly, the unit is focusing on implementing the plan to develop union members according to the targets assigned in Decision No. 46/QD-LDLD dated January 26, 2026 of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation.
Since the beginning of the year, the Board has coordinated with the Lao Cai Provincial Economic Zone Management Board to review stable businesses that meet the conditions for establishing grassroots trade unions. Through this, 970 union members have been mobilized to be admitted and 6 new grassroots trade unions have been established.
Responding to the peak month of union member development associated with Workers' Month 2026, from April 3 to 10, the Trade Union Committee of industrial parks worked directly with 5 enterprises including: Dai An Bonded Warehouse Joint Stock Company; Thanh Long Thai Ha Trading and Import-Export Investment Joint Stock Company; Tien Cuong Construction and Trading Co., Ltd.; San Lung Wine Joint Stock Company; ARMY Lao Cai Education Development Joint Stock Company.
Through surveys, these 5 enterprises currently have a total of 119 employees. After a process of propaganda and mobilization, employees basically agreed to participate in the trade union organization.
Mr. Hoang Tuan Hai - Deputy Head of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of Lao Cai province, base 2 - said that promoting the development of union members and establishing grassroots trade unions in enterprises is a key task to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of workers, and at the same time build harmonious and stable labor relations in industrial parks.
With the coordination of the boards of directors of enterprises, the Trade Union Committee of industrial parks has guided workers to complete the process of joining the trade union according to the regulations of the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.
It is expected that grassroots trade unions at 5 enterprises will be established and launched at the end of April 2026, contributing to expanding the network of trade union organizations, improving the efficiency of caring for and protecting workers in industrial parks.
