In order to join hands to support people in disadvantaged areas to improve living conditions, especially in areas lacking clean water sources, recently, the Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union in coordination with the Son Thinh Market Union organized a working group to Thuong Bang La commune to survey and implement the plan to build a well to provide domestic water for people and union members in the area.
The survey team included Ms. Vuong Thi Anh - Chairwoman of Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union, representatives of Son Thinh Market Trade Union and leaders of Thuong Bang La commune.
In reality, the team noted that many villages and hamlets in the commune are still facing difficulties in clean water sources, in which the central area of the commune - where there are many people - is a hot spot for water shortages.
According to the plan, the program will build 5 clean water wells with a total cost of 150 million VND, each well worth 30 million VND.
Up to now, the first two wells in Nam Dong 1 and Nam Dong 2 villages have been completed and handed over for use, helping households have a stable source of clean water for daily activities, contributing to improving their lives and protecting their health.
The activity of building a clean water well in Thuong Bang La not only has practical significance in improving living conditions for people but also clearly demonstrates the role and social responsibility of the trade union organization.
This is also an important source of spiritual encouragement, helping people gain more trust, while encouraging cadres and union members to stick with the grassroots.
When all 5 wells are completed, the program will provide clean water for hundreds of people, creating favorable conditions for socio-economic development, contributing to improving the quality of life in the highlands.
