On August 1st, the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation said that the Hoang Mai Ward Trade Union had just organized the Union Members' Day, the Forum "Trade Unions Listen to Union Members and Workers' Voices" and the "Golden Bell Ringing" Contest to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026).
Speaking at the program, Mr. Ho Sy Tung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Hoang Mai Ward, acknowledged and praised the results achieved by the Hoang Mai Ward Trade Union in the past time; and at the same time requested the Trade Union organization to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, and perform well the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
At the Forum "Trade Unions listen to union members and workers speak", many union members frankly proposed on caring for life, improving income, improving working conditions, ensuring labor safety; proposed building entertainment and cultural activity areas for union members and workers and proposed that businesses pay attention to adjusting salaries in accordance with actual conditions. Opinions were received and answered immediately at the program by Trade Union leaders and representatives of related units.
On this occasion, the Hoang Mai Ward Trade Union presented 20 gifts to union members in difficult circumstances, each worth 500,000 VND, contributing to encouraging union members to overcome difficulties, feel secure in their work and stick with the Trade Union organization.
Also in the program, the "Golden Bell Ringing" Contest attracted 60 union members from grassroots trade unions to participate. After 30 questions, 10 excellent contestants entered the supplementary question round to determine the winner of the "Golden Bell Ringing" title.
The Youth Union Day is a practical activity to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, contributing to propagating the tradition of the Trade Union organization, creating a useful playground, strengthening the connection between union members and the Trade Union organization, and at the same time encouraging union members and workers to continue to compete in labor and production, contributing to building a strong Trade Union organization.
