According to the Trade Union of Economic Zones (EZs) and Industrial Parks (IPs) of Quang Nam, last year, due to economic difficulties, many businesses had to cut labor and jobs, and the average income of workers also decreased.
Sharing the common difficulties of workers, during the 2024 Lunar New Year, units under the Trade Union of the Economic Zone and Industrial Park supported nearly 4,000 union members and workers in difficult circumstances with an amount of 3.22 billion VND; organized 3 "Trade Union Buses" to bring workers from other provinces back to their hometowns to celebrate Tet; supported bus tickets, money, and gifts for more than 700 workers far from home, in addition to the "Trade Union Bus", or staying in boarding houses...
In 2024, 19 grassroots unions organized "Union Meals" in the kitchens of agencies and units for 9,936 union members, with a total added value of 402 million VND from grassroots union financial resources.
Up to now, the Trade Union of the Economic Zones and Industrial Parks managed by the province has 106 grassroots trade unions, 49,570 union members/52,494 employees; in 2024, 13 new grassroots trade unions were established, 7,199 union members were admitted, and 4,110 more union members were developed, reaching 146.7% of the assigned plan.
As a result, the unit was ranked as the leading Trade Union of the province's industry sector in 2024; 5 trade union officials were proposed to receive certificates of merit from the General Confederation of Labor.
At the summary conference, 17 individuals and 5 outstanding collectives were awarded certificates of merit by the Provincial Federation of Labor; 114 individuals and 8 collectives were awarded certificates of merit by the Provincial Economic Zones and Industrial Parks Trade Union.
