Tet bonus reduced due to difficult situation
2024 is a difficult year for Quang Nam enterprises, when enterprises have not really recovered and are facing pressures such as lack of orders and high production costs. The total number of enterprises registered to temporarily suspend business, waiting for dissolution procedures and dissolution is 1,472, an increase of 10.93% over the same period in 2023 (as of the end of November 2024).
Mr. Nguyen Qui Quy - Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs - said that, through understanding the situation, up to now, in the province, there are no enterprises owing wages to employees, no collective work stoppages or strikes have occurred.
In addition to Tet bonuses, 49/69 enterprises supported 22,405 employees in kind such as Tet gifts, train and bus fares, etc. during the 2025 New Year and 2025 Lunar New Year, with an average support level of VND 200,000/person.
In general, the average salary and expected Tet bonus this year are lower than the same period last year, due to the general difficult situation. There are still many relatively large enterprises that have plans to reward the Lunar New Year and Lunar New Year 2024 but have not reported, so the Tet bonus figures may improve further, according to the assessment of the leader of the Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Quang Nam province.
