On December 26, Duy Xuyen District Labor Federation held a Conference to summarize Trade Union activities with the labor movement in 2024 and deploy directions and tasks for 2025.
In 2024, the Duy Xuyen District Labor Federation organized the program Tet Sum Vay - Spring Sharing. This unit also coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and associations and unions of the district to organize the program Tet for the poor - Spring Sharing. Timely support of 94 subsidies, each worth 1 million VND, for union members and workers of Phan Ngoc Anh Construction Materials Company Limited who lost their jobs.
Grasping the salary and bonus situation of each enterprise at the end of the year to encourage and share with enterprises facing many difficulties during the year. All trade unions held meetings to give Tet gifts to workers and employees, each gift worth from 300,000 VND to 1 million VND. The trade unions also supported Tet gifts for more than 12,000 union members and employees with a total amount of over 9 billion VND.
In Workers' Month 2024, the Quang Nam Provincial Federation of Labor supported 39 gifts for union members and workers in difficult circumstances worth 39 million VND. The District Federation of Labor also supported 32 cases of union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with a support level of 500,000 VND/case. At the same time, it selected and guided the application procedures to build 1 Trade Union Shelter according to the allocation of the Provincial Federation of Labor worth 40 million VND/house.
At the conference, Mr. Tran Phuoc Phuong - Chairman of the Duy Xuyen District Labor Federation - said: "In 2024, in Duy Xuyen district, there will be no strikes, no collective work stoppages, no serious or fatal work accidents. However, there are still businesses that owe social insurance and Union fees. Although the basic salary and regional minimum wage have been adjusted to increase, the prices of goods have also increased, affecting the quality of life of union members and workers."
Therefore, in 2025, Duy Xuyen District Labor Federation will focus on directing all levels of the Trade Union to concretize the targets of the Resolution of the Trade Union Congress at all levels, term 2023 - 2028 to union members and workers. Mobilize employees to continuously study and improve their professional qualifications, skills, and foreign languages to meet the development needs of today's trends.
Organize emulation movements, care for, represent and protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers. Strengthen propaganda and mobilization work to establish grassroots unions and develop union members, focusing on non-state enterprises and organizations that employ workers. In particular, promote the application of IT, digital transformation and the use of software to serve union activities to contribute to improving the quality and efficiency of union activities at all levels.
On this occasion, many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in trade union activities were commended and rewarded by all levels and sectors.
