On August 18, the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation said that in July, trade union levels in the province focused on implementing many activities to care for the material and spiritual life, support union members and workers in difficult circumstances; and at the same time participate in building policies and laws directly related to the rights and interests of workers.
One of the activities implemented at the grassroots level is the "Trade Union Meal" program in 2026. The activity contributes to improving the quality of lunch meals, while creating opportunities for workers, trade union organizations and employers to share and listen to their thoughts and aspirations, thereby strengthening the cohesion in the business.
Along with caring for life, the Provincial Trade Union guides and directs Trade Union levels to pay attention to supporting union members and workers who are ethnic minorities and mountainous people; implement Program "Union members ask - Trade Unions answer" No. 2 to provide information and answer issues of concern to union members and workers.
From the support of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, trade unions of communes, wards, clusters, and areas have considered giving gifts to 100 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with a total value of 100 million VND.
The Provincial Labor Federation also continued to provide support from the "Gifts from the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress" Program to 233 union members. Among them, 50 union members in particularly difficult circumstances were supported with 2 million VND/person and 183 union members were supported with 1 million VND/person.
The work of mobilizing the construction of the Provincial Labor Federation's Social Fund in 2026 continues to be implemented with a contribution level of 50,000 VND/person. By July 10, the whole province had mobilized 680 million VND. In July, trade union levels handed over 4 "Trade Union Homes", including 3 newly built houses and 1 repaired house, contributing to helping union members in housing difficulties have conditions to stabilize their lives.
At the grassroots level, grassroots Trade Unions continue to implement many care activities suitable to the needs of union members and workers such as organizing birthdays, giving gifts to encourage, express gratitude, and reward; organizing free health check-ups for workers.
The activities are implemented in a practical direction, close to the needs of union members and workers, thereby contributing to sharing difficulties and creating connections between workers and trade union organizations and businesses.
Through care, support and representation activities, Quang Tri Trade Union levels continue to affirm their role in protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; and at the same time contribute to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations at enterprises.
