On August 21, a working delegation of the Savannakhet Provincial Trade Union Federation, Lao People's Democratic Republic, and the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) visited and exchanged trade union activities at Hoang Long Titan Mineral Processing Joint Stock Company.
Here, the delegation directly visited production areas, learned about the activities of businesses and grassroots trade unions.
Representatives of Hoang Long Titan Mineral Processing Joint Stock Company said that the enterprise operates in the field of titanium mineral exploitation and processing in Central Vietnam.
The company operates in 3 main areas including minerals, energy, hotels - resorts; including titanium mining and processing, white sand mining and processing.
Each year, the company mines on an area of about 25ha, treating more than 8.9 million tons of waste sand. The mineral processing complex has an area of about 6ha, processing about 120,000 tons of raw ore input each year.
Along with production activities, the enterprise implements environmental restoration work, planting more than 80,000 trees each year.
The grassroots trade union at Hoang Long Titan Mineral Processing Joint Stock Company was established in 2022, currently has 93 union members.
Over the past time, the grassroots Trade Union has coordinated with businesses to organize employee conferences, build collective labor agreements and implement policies to care for union members and employees.
Regimes and policies for employees are implemented in coordination between businesses and the Trade Union. The Trade Union also organizes visits and supports union members in difficult circumstances, sickness, and weddings; takes care of them during Tet, Workers' Month...
In 2026 alone, activities such as Tet Sum vay, International Women's Day, Trade Union Meals, International Children's Day, union member birthdays are implemented with a total budget of more than 300 million VND.
Grassroots trade unions also encourage union members and group members to propose initiatives and improvements in production for consideration and commendation.
In addition, tourism activities, teambuilding, sports tournaments for men and women and sports exchanges with units in the industrial park are organized to create more playgrounds for workers.
Mr. Khamkeing Sutthideth - Chairman of the Savannakhet Provincial Trade Union Federation said that the visit helped the delegation directly learn about production activities at Hoang Long Company, workshops as well as the activities of the Trade Union organization at the enterprise.
Through the working trip, the delegation gained more practical information about the business's operating model, the work of caring for union members and workers, and the organization of Trade Union activities at the grassroots level.
Mr. Khamkeing Sutthideth also thanked the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation and units for supporting and creating conditions for the working delegation of the Savannakhet Provincial Trade Union Union Union to visit, exchange and work during their time in Quang Tri province.
