Currently, there are 4,931 businesses operating in Son La province with tens of thousands of workers working in the fields of production, business, construction, mineral exploitation and services.
In 2025, propaganda on occupational safety and health (ATVSLĐ) was deployed synchronously with many diverse forms. Press, radio, and television agencies strengthened propaganda on preventing labor accidents, occupational diseases, fire and explosion prevention, and safety in production.

In 2025, the whole province organized more than 28 response activities; implemented hundreds of news, articles, and propaganda reports; hung banners and panels on many roads and central areas.
During the year, functional agencies organized 12 inter-sectoral inspections at 84 enterprises, production and business establishments; requested to overcome shortcomings, complete safe working procedures and fully equip labor protection equipment.
Occupational safety and health training continues to be focused on with 12 training classes for 720 trade union officials, occupational safety and health workers and 29 training classes for more than 5,200 workers at enterprises.

Periodic health check-ups and labor environment monitoring are maintained to detect occupational diseases and unsafe risk factors early.
In 2025, there were 2 labor accidents in the province that seriously injured 2 people, and no particularly serious labor accidents occurred.
At the launching ceremony, Son La Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 collectives and 1 individual with outstanding achievements in occupational safety and health in 2025.

The Provincial Labor Federation also provided support for the construction of 5 "Trade Union Homes" with a total budget of 230 million VND; presented 30 gifts worth 75 million VND to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, suffering from dangerous diseases or suffering from labor accidents and occupational diseases.
