Inteplast (Vietnam) Company Limited, located at Trang Bang Industrial Park, An Tinh Ward, Trang Bang Town, Tay Ninh Province.
Attending and directing the congress were Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairwoman of the Tay Ninh Economic Zone Trade Union, leaders of the company's Board of Directors and more than 30 workers working at the company.
After many years of establishment and operation, the collective of workers working at the company still does not have a grassroots trade union to effectively perform the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests; and practically in activities to care for the material and spiritual life of workers.
In order to develop union members and establish grassroots unions, the Standing Committee of the Tay Ninh Economic Zone Union has been active in propaganda work, working with businesses, disseminating legal policies and union regulations so that workers know the benefits of participating in a union organization.
With the guidance and support of the Economic Zone Trade Union and the facilitation of the company's Board of Directors, nearly 120 workers have applied to join the Vietnam Trade Union and established a grassroots trade union.
At the congress, a provisional Executive Committee of 3 people was elected, of which, Head of the Mobilization Committee Do Hong Que was elected as Chairman of the company's trade union.
Speaking at the congress, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, Chairwoman of the Provincial Economic Zone Trade Union, congratulated the workers who joined the Vietnam Trade Union and acknowledged the efforts of the Steering Committee for the establishment of the grassroots trade union.
Ms. Lien also suggested that the company's Board of Directors should pay more attention and create more favorable conditions for the grassroots trade union to operate and perform its functions and tasks of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees, contributing to building a harmonious, stable and developing working environment as well as fulfilling the union's financial obligations.
