On December 12, the emulation bloc of district and city Labor Federations in Thai Binh held a conference to summarize emulation work in 2024, deploy tasks, and sign emulation covenants for 2025.
In 2024, the Labor Federations of districts and cities proactively implemented many new and creative jobs, with many suitable solutions to organize activities.
In particular, activities to care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers stand out.
As a result, in the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Chia Chia", the units presented 5,519 gifts, with a total amount of nearly 2.8 billion VND; coordinated with agencies and ministries to present 680 gifts with a total amount of 729 million VND; 929 union members were supported to participate in purchasing goods in the program "Union Tet Market" with a total amount of over 278 million VND.
In addition, considering supporting the cost of building "Union Shelter" houses for 28 union members with difficult housing circumstances with an amount of 1.4 billion VND, mobilizing contributions to the "Union Shelter" fund with an amount of nearly 1.3 billion VND; giving gifts of gratitude in May to 785 union members with an amount of 381 million VND; supporting 883 union members and workers whose working hours were reduced or their labor contracts were terminated due to the business cutting or reducing orders with an amount of over 877 million VND.
Coordinated to resolve loans from the National Employment Fund for 13 union members with an amount of 818 million VND; supported 718 union members and workers affected by storm No. 3 with an amount of 524 million VND; organized union meals at 15 units and enterprises for 6,049 union members and workers; nearly 3,000 union members and workers received health care and were given Vitamin C, health check-ups and consultations, and policies...
On the occasion of Workers' Month 2024, district and city trade unions organized to commend and reward 658 exemplary trade union officials; selected and proposed higher-level trade unions to commend and reward 472 exemplary and excellent union members and workers in emulation movements to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of Vietnam Trade Union.
The legal education and propaganda work was effectively implemented by the district and city Labor Federations. During the year, 9 communication conferences on the Road Traffic Safety Law and the Labor Code were organized for 1,951 union members; 19 training courses on trade union operations, financial work, inspection work and trade union participation in implementing democracy at the grassroots level were organized for 4,429 union officials, members and workers.
The work of developing union members and establishing grassroots unions has always been promoted by the district and city labor federations. During the year, 49 new grassroots unions were established and 15,937 new union members were admitted.
Party development work is of interest to all levels of trade unions. During the year, 506 members were admitted to the Party.
In addition, the work of caring for children of union members and employees is also focused on. In the 2023-2024 school year, the district and city labor federations organized to commend and reward 1,380 children of union members, employees and workers with difficult circumstances and good academic performance with a total amount of over 670 million VND...
At today's conference, the district and city Labor Federations also organized emulation review for 2024 and signed emulation covenant for 2025.
