At 11:20 a.m. on July 6, 2025, at the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant expansion site (Hoa Binh ward, Phu Tho province), Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and Power 1 Project Management Board coordinated with contractors to successfully unload rotor of plant No. 1 of the Hoa Binh Hydropower Expansion Project. This is an important milestone in the process of installing equipment and completing the apparatus.
rotor No. 1 of the Hoa Binh Hydropower Project is expanded with a weight of about 585 tons, which is the rotary part of the generator. The process of successfully downloading to the Stator of the apparatus must ensure technical requirements with high accuracy.

The relocation of rotors is an important pivotal step in the series of stages of unit installation, requiring synchronous and accurate coordination between construction units, supervision and installation of electromechanical equipment. The success of this item shows the determination and great efforts of EVN, the Power Plan Board 1 and contractors in difficult and complicated construction conditions.
According to Mr. Dang Duy Chien - Director of Hong Nam Company (actor supplier) to ensure the installation and completion of rotor No. 1, the unit installed an axle bridge with a total load of 700 tons.
Mr. Dang Duy Chien said that before designing and manufacturing, the company had coordinated with relevant units to ensure the lifting and lowering speed was suitable for the requirements of the machine installation unit, while ensuring quality and safety during the implementation process.
"During the implementation process, we have mobilized resources from suppliers and company human resources to ensure the progress and quality of the work. At the same time, there is close coordination with technical, design, production and installation units to meet the requirements of Vietnam Electricity Group and Power Project Management Board 1 said Mr. Dang Duy Chien.

According to Mr. Pham Hong Phuong - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Electricity Group, the successful decommissioning of the large crane marks an important step in the project's progress, opening a new phase to complete the first grid connection on August 19 under the direction of the Prime Minister.
After connecting rotors to network 1, this area will continue to be used to install rotors to network 2. The No. 2 plant will be connected to the national grid at the end of November or the beginning of December this year, as planned.
"Up to now, the construction volume of the project has reached about 90%. Despite the difficulties in the process of building the hydropower plant, participating units have taken strict control measures, such as controlling quality, using a skilled installation team to minimize risks and ensure progress.
Close coordination between investors (EVN), Project Management Boards, contractors and participating forces is an important factor to overcome challenges and achieve the results as today" - Mr. Phuong said.
According to EVN representatives, the technologies and techniques used in this project have not changed much compared to previous hydropower projects, but have been improved to improve efficiency, quality and durability. The operating forces have been trained to be ready to take over and operate the plant safely when completed.

The completion of the relocation of rotor No. 1 of the Hoa Binh Hydropower Project is of great significance, creating a premise for continuing to implement many electromechanical installation items, towards testing and operating the rotor with the goal of powering the project's No. 1 rotor on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day on September 2 in accordance with the required schedule as directed by the Prime Minister Mr. Phuong emphasized.
