The Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Federation has just coordinated with the Department of Mothers and Children (Ministry of Health), the Thai Nguyen Provincial Department of Health and the Central Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital to organize a communication program, consultation on reproductive health care and gynecological examination for female workers.
At the program, 800 female workers were consulted on reproductive health care, sexual health, prevention of sexually transmitted diseases and health care before and during pregnancy.
Among these, 400 people were directly examined by doctors of the Central Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital and hospitals in the province for gynecology, abdominal ultrasound, breast examination and ultrasound, and were consulted for free results.
Through examination, workers have conditions to detect early health problems to be consulted, monitored and treated when necessary.
In addition, the organizers presented 800 gifts to female workers participating in the program. Each gift included in-kind items worth 400,000 VND and 100,000 VND in cash, with a total value of 500,000 VND/gift.
The program contributes to helping female workers access information and reproductive health care services right at work, while raising awareness of proactive health care.
