Outstanding achievements
On the morning of January 17, at Lam Son Square (Dien Bien Ward, Thanh Hoa City), the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor solemnly opened the "Workers' Festival - Charity Market".
Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Quang Hai - Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council, Mr. Vo Manh Son - Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial Labor Federation, representatives of Thanh Hoa City leaders, leaders of provincial departments and branches and more than 1,000 union members and workers.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the "Workers' Festival - Charity Fair" in 2025, Mr. Vo Manh Son - Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor - said that in 2024, the unit had completed and exceeded 32 set targets (of which 17 targets exceeded the plan); completed and exceeded 12 targets assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Typically, activities to care for union members and workers focus on the grassroots level, mobilizing resources to promote activities to care for and support union members and workers to stabilize their lives and work with peace of mind. Unions at all levels, agencies, units and enterprises have organized visits and given gifts to over 340,000 union members and workers, with a total amount of more than 318 billion VND (an increase of 95.6 billion VND compared to 2023).
Regarding the work of developing union members, during the year, more than 28,000 new union members were developed; 97 new grassroots unions and 46 grassroots trade unions were established, exceeding the target assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Trade unions at all levels have launched emulation campaigns associated with the emulation movement "Workers, civil servants, and laborers take the lead in realizing the aspiration of building a civilized and prosperous Thanh Hoa homeland", attracting a large number of union members and laborers to participate.
Recognizing and praising the achievements of Thanh Hoa Trade Union, at the 6th Conference of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation was honored to receive the Excellent Emulation Flag from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, leading the whole country in 2024.
Bringing a warm Tet to family reunions
According to the Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor, in 2025, closely following the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor has proactively developed and implemented a plan to organize the program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring Thanks to the Party" to all levels of trade unions from the province to the grassroots; caring for and providing practical support to union members and workers, especially those in difficult cases, those who have had work-related accidents, serious illnesses, natural disasters, storms and floods, and unemployment, etc.
The program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" and "Workers' Festival - Charity Market" in 2025, includes a series of continuous activities of trade unions at all levels in the month before Lunar New Year, with many practical and meaningful activities such as: The Provincial Federation of Labor visited and presented more than 18,500 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with serious illnesses, work-related accidents... with a total value of 12.8 billion VND.
Supported 62 “Union Shelters” with a total value of over 2.4 billion VND. Trade unions at all levels in the province drew from their regular budgets and mobilized agencies, units, and businesses to visit and give gifts to over 350,000 union members and workers, with a total value of about 190 billion VND.
At the Workers' Market, with a scale of 100 booths providing essential products and services, discounted goods, and free goods for union members. Giving shopping vouchers to 5,600 union members and workers (each voucher worth 500,000 VND) to shop at the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor's online Tet Union Market; giving shopping vouchers to 3,000 union members (each voucher worth 100,000 VND) to shop at the "Workers' Festival - Charity Market" program, with a total value of 2.8 billion VND.
At the "Love Fair" held at Lam Son Square, tens of thousands of union members and people will also be able to participate in unique art activities and folk games such as: Chung cake wrapping contest; tug of war contest, drawing contest, worker dance contest...
At the opening ceremony of "Workers' Festival - Charity Fair", representatives of Thanh Hoa province's leaders and Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor presented support to 30 "Union Shelters", presented gifts to 45 workers in difficult circumstances and presented support to 34 grassroots trade unions.
