On January 8, the Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Zones Trade Union of Thanh Hoa Province (Nghi Son Trade Union) held a conference to review the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025.
Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Minh Canh - Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation, representatives of Nghi Son Economic Zone and Thanh Hoa Provincial Industrial Zones, Nghi Son Trade Union and affiliated grassroots trade union officials.
According to Nghi Son Trade Union, in 2024, the unit has implemented many practical programs and activities to care for, represent and protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers.
In addition, successfully negotiated and organized the signing of collective labor agreements with 7 shoe manufacturing enterprises in Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Parks of Thanh Hoa province, helping nearly 65,000 union members benefit.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin and "Workers' Month", "Month of action on occupational safety and hygiene" in 2024, Nghi Son Trade Union at all levels presented over 8,400 gifts, with a total value of over 5.4 billion VND.
Implementing the program "Welfare for union members and workers", Nghi Son Trade Union has signed cooperation agreements with 3 partners, providing products and services at preferential prices, helping more than 81,000 union members and workers benefit, with an amount of nearly 702 million VND.
With emulation movements, effectively organized and implemented by trade unions at all levels, attracting a large number of cadres, union members and workers to participate; organizing the replication of the 3V model (For workers - For trade unions - For sustainable development of enterprises) in 3 units; replicating the model of "Pregnant women and Childcare Club" in 5 units, attracting a large number of union members and workers to participate.
Regarding union member development, in 2024, Nghi Son Union newly established 14/12 grassroots unions (reaching a rate of 116.8%), developing 8,755 new union members.
With the achieved results, in 2024, the Trade Union of Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Parks of Thanh Hoa province was honored to receive the Third Class Labor Medal from the Prime Minister.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Minh Canh - Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation highly appreciated the achievements that Nghi Son Trade Union at all levels has achieved in the past year, along with that, hoping that Nghi Son Trade Union will continue to make efforts, overcome all difficulties, complete tasks well, care for and protect better the lives of union members and workers, especially those in difficult cases.
At the conference, many collectives and individuals were awarded the Emulation Flag of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Confederation of Labor and certificates of merit from Nghi Son Trade Union.
