Nearly 2,000 union members and employees from 42 district, county, sectoral, departmental and block labor federations under the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation participated in the art performance with the theme "Pride of workers of Uncle Ho's City" organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, opening on the morning of November 19.
During 4 days (from November 19 to 22), workers will perform 205 acts praising the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, President Ton Duc Thang, trade union organizations and union officials, and their love for the homeland and country.
In his opening speech, Mr. Phung Thai Quang - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - emphasized that in the atmosphere of celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation is pleased to organize a cultural performance for workers and laborers throughout the city.
This is a meaningful activity demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, creativity with national pride, pride in the glorious Party, an opportunity to review the heroic history of the Party and the nation, an opportunity to arouse pride, responsibility, and dedication in each employee of the city, for the sustainable development of the country and Ho Chi Minh City.
“This year’s festival is a vivid demonstration of the creativity, enthusiasm and talent of the staff and workers throughout the city. Through this, we can see more clearly the role of the trade union in building a healthy cultural life, contributing to creating a friendly, united and effective working environment,” said Mr. Quang.
The organizing committee of the art performance will award 48 prizes to winning groups and individuals; 30 consolation prizes, and 1 impressive cheerleader prize to teams that actively responded to the movement, with a total prize value of nearly 600 million VND.
