At the meeting celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024) held on the morning of August 4, Ms. Vu The Van - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks in Ho Chi Minh City - stated that in recent times, the Trade Union of Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks in Ho Chi Minh City has effectively fulfilled its functions and duties. The focus has been on representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests, and taking care of the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.
The Trade Union of Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks in Ho Chi Minh City has also actively participated in collective bargaining, signing collective labor agreements, ensuring benefits regarding wages, bonuses, insurance regimes, and other welfare for union members and workers. These efforts have significantly improved the material and spiritual life of union members and workers. At the same time, continuous efforts are made to build a safe, healthy, and civilized working environment, contributing to increasing labor productivity and business efficiency of enterprises in the export processing zones and industrial parks in Ho Chi Minh City.
In the coming time, the Trade Union of Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks in Ho Chi Minh City will continue to promote its fine traditions, while innovating and improving the quality of its activities to meet the requirements of the new era, always being a reliable support for union members and workers, contributing to building a stronger Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, and successfully completing assigned tasks.
On this occasion, the Trade Union of Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks in Ho Chi Minh City awarded the “For the cause of building the Trade Union” medal to 25 trade union officials, presented Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour to 5 collectives and 4 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement in 2023, and Certificates of Merit from the Ho Chi Minh City Confederation of Labour to 7 exemplary individuals in the “Excellent Labor - Creative Labor” movement at the city level in 2024.
At the same time, they received 276 million VND from the contributions of union members, workers, and sponsors to support the funding for the “Warm Kitchen of the Trade Union” project; received 40 scholarships worth 200 million VND for the “Nguyen Duc Canh” scholarship and the “Lighting up dreams” program.
