On the afternoon of December 25, Vice President of the Hanoi City Labor Federation Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy chaired a press conference to inform about the 18th Hanoi City Labor Union Congress, term 2025-2030.
The Congress will take place at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace for 2 days 29-30 December with the participation of 550 outstanding delegates representing the will, aspirations and beliefs of over 580,000 union members of the Capital Trade Union. The Congress is an extensive and democratic political activity, a festival for union officials, union members and all levels of the Capital's Trade Union according to the motto: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development".
With the theme: "Innovating the content and methods of operation, building a strong and comprehensive Capital Trade Union; focusing on representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; promoting the spirit of solidarity and the pioneering role of the working class in building a civilized, modern, and happy Capital", the Congress has an important task: evaluating the results of implementing the Resolution of the 17th Congress of the City Trade Union, for the period 2023 - 2025; determining the goals, directions, and tasks for the 2025-2030 term; participating in contributing to the draft amendment of the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union and the Report of the Executive Committee of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to submit to the 14th Congress; reviewing the leadership of the Executive Committee of the 17th Congress of the City Labor Federation; electing the Executive Committee of the 18th Congress of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; identifying the goals, directions, and tasks related to the new situation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the State.
According to the Program, the Congress has 3 sessions. After the Congress, the Hanoi City Labor Federation will organize an art program to successfully celebrate the Congress on the evening of December 31, 2025.
